How to Find Out Oz, Gsm & CBM in Garments Clothing ?

All Garments worker & buying house are vary much familiar to GSM, OZ & EMBROIDERY. Suppose not that generally counted weight of knitted fabric in GSM (Gram Per Square Meter). Other side woven fabric easily find out or counted by OZ (Ounce) per square  yards. 

Now here will be shown that your favorite method how to convert them for finding it.

Oz per square meter = gsm / 33.906 ---- 12000 stich = 1 unit (embroidery stich)

100cm x 100cm x 100cm = 1 CBM --------12 inches x 12 inches x 12 inches = 1 cubic Feet.

1. A single jersey knit fabric GSM 130 grams now find out Oz per square yards?

• Answer : gsm / 33.906 = Total Oz
•  = 200 / 33.906 = 5.898 Oz (33.906 gsm = 1 Oz per square meter)

2. A twill fabric of 8 Oz now find out its GSM?

• Answer : Oz x 33.906 = Total GSM
•  = 8 x 33.906 = 271 gsm (1 Oz per square yards = 33.906 gsm)

3. A carton length 60cm, width 40 cm & height 30 cm now find out CBM (Cubic Meter)?

• Answer : Length x Width x Height / 1000000
•  = 60 x 40 x 30 / 1000000 = 0.072 CBM (1 CBM = 1000000)

4. Cartons length 80cm, width 60cm height 30cm now find out CBM of 100 cartons?

• Answer : Length x Width x Height / 1000000 x all cartons = Total CBM
• = 80 x 60 x 30 /1000000 x 100= 14.4 CBM 

5. Carton's length 14 inches , width 12 inches, height 8 inches now find out CBF (Cubic Feet) 

• Answer : Length x Width x Height /CBF = Total Cubic Feet
•  14 x 12 x 8 / 1728 = 0.777 CBF (1 CBF = 1728 Square Feet)
