What is Export in Procurement of Garment sector ?
Basically Export trade refers to the sells of goods to a foreign country. The procedure for Export trade differs from country to country depending upon the export policy, statutory requirements and customs policies of different countries. In almost all countries of the world export trade is controlled by the government. The objectives of these controls are proper use of foreign exchange restrictions, protection of indigenous industries etc. The export of goods have to follow a procedure. This procedure involves a number of steps.
TYPES OF EXPORTERS:
Exporters
can be basically classified into two groups
· Manufacturer Exporter: As the exporter has the facility to manufacturer
the product he intends to export and
hence he exports the products manufactured by him.
· Merchant Exporter: An exporter who does not have the facility to
manufacture an item. But, he
procures the same from other manufacturers or from the market and exports the
same.
Export Process
The term export in international trade means the sending of goods or services produced in one country to another country. The seller of such goods and services is referred to as an exporter; the foreign buyer is referred to as an importer. Export of goods often requires involvement of customs authorities.
